It's my favorite zombie comedy, over Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland. Yup. I'd have to agree with this. And, as far as I know, it's the original zom-com. I mean, Dawn of the Dead '78 did have some comedy elements, but O' Bannon went all the way with the comedy in this flick. The later 2 movies feel more like straight comedies in a zombie-infested setting though, whereas this one has the feel of a traditional campy 80s horror IMO (think Night of the Creeps, TerrorVision, etc.). |
