I suppose it is. The other option was to put it on streaming/on demand platforms in October lile Universal has done with some of their other big titles so far. It wouldn't have been ideal, but I would understand it either way.

At one point they were talking about shooting the movies back to back and then releasing them in August and October of the same year. That seemed unreasonable before, but now it would be understandable. That doesn't appear to be in the cards now, though.
