After watching movies this summer like The Old Guard, Eurovision and Disclosure I think Netflix’s future might be more in original movies over original series. Not that they can’t still make great series. I just think with all the new streaming services launching their edge could be in movies. I'd argue with some exceptions of which feel like a rarity that any films produced through Netflix are great, although the upcoming slate looks somewhat promising. Their early films were definitely poor, but I think they’ve increasingly have gotten better. The Irishman was great, and a lot of the stuff they’ve been putting out this summer is very good. I feel like the more stuff they make the better they are getting at producing feature films.
