Didn't Joe McEwing end up making an emergency appearance at catcher (probably for the Mets, but maybe my Cardinals)? But Baseball Reference doesn't have him playing an inning at catcher.
I could have sworn he had. They always referred to him as the “emergency catcher.”
I can almost see SportsCentre opening with him in catcher's shin pads. We can't both be wrong.
