Jeetan Patel is apparently a spin-bowling consultant to the coaching staff. Never heard of him. A Kiwi. What!!!! You never heard of Jeets? A Warwickshire Bears legend! I know he was brought in as an advisor for the white ball phase, but I don't think he's in the country as Warwickshire manager Jim Troughton said he will be missing for the start of the (belated) county cricket season. FTR: Patel was voted second greatest overseas player for The Bears after Allan Donald. Great player, great pro. I'm hanging my head in shame!  I have to admit my knowledge of the county game is very close to nil! |
