With me, it is more a question of "can't watch" rather than "can't stand". There are several movies, recommended by people whose taste I trust, that I cannot just get into after two or three attempts, such as: The Lion in Winter (1968) dir: Anthony Harvey The Lion In Winter is a great movie.Such is my respect for you, Mikef6, that I may make my fourth (!) attempt to get through The Lion in Winter over the next few weeks. I am somewhat handicapped by the fact that I have an aversion to both Katherine Hepburn and (especially) Peter O'Toole. First up though is a third viewing of Amelie. For starters, I do not remember anything untoward about the colour palette, for good or bad. Update after today's viewing: My memory must be f*****! The palette is very idiosyncratic, lots of medium/dark greens and reds. I liked it.
