I've just learned that genre favourite John Saxon sadly passed away yesterday from pneumonia. Saxon had a long, distinguished career that saw him work with a host of legendary filmmakers and fellow actors.
He was seen onscreen with co-stars ranging from Burt Lancaster to Clint Eastwood but also worked with Marlon Brando and Bruce Lee to name just a few.
I met him briefly at a UK event some years ago and when asked, he named The Apaloosa (with Brando) as his personal favourite of all his films.
Horror fans will remember him best for his roles in A Nightmare On Elm Street and two sequels, Black Christmas, Tenebrae and many others.
He will be badly missed but forever appreciated and remembered.
