Can you read properly form cursive writing?

I changed up school districts between 2nd and 3rd grades and while my previous school taught cursive in the 3nd, my new school had taught in the 2nd grade. My 3rd grade teacher was an old bitty bitch who ridiculed me in front of the class when I turned my first written assignment. I told my mom and after I was older, she told me she told the teacher if she did anything like that again, she bust her old wrinkled ass. Teach never bothered me again, though I had to teach cursive writing to myself.
