Its badly written because it’s not properly oitlined. If it’s badly written that means it’s poorly explained. It’s certainly not just a dialogue problem because the interactions aren’t bad. Again I don’t think they could figure out how to intersperse them but it would have been more fluid imo. Of course it isn't just a dialogue problem, it is that the story in the second movie is dumb. The second half of the mini-series is better because it isn't convoluted nonsense. The problem with the second half of the mini-series is that it also isn't very interesting. I am convinced that mixing the adult stuff with Part 1 would have made no difference to the second movie being good. Maybe it would have worked out better the way you would have liked the movies to have been written. We'll probably never know. Well that’s like saying the book isn’t good because it mixes the two and the book, aside from an occasional kid sex, is better than both the movies and the series. It would have made a difference if executed properly. It would have minimized the bad scenes in two or at worst been able to match tone across both movies.
