No it isn't. Sure, long term smoking causes all sorts of health problems. So of course it's best to quit smoking LONG TERM.
But short term, right now, if you want to avoid the corona virus? Sorry, now is not the time to quit.
If you smoke for the next year, you're probably not gonna develop any smoking related illness which you haven't acquired already. But you have a better chance of avoiding the risk of misery and dying from corona virus NOW. So WTF would a smoker quit right NOW?

Sorry, the whole stupidity of the title of this thread says it all. Fools who have smoked for years are quitting smoking NOW because the idiots think that protects them from the corona virus. Research shows the opposite might be true!
It would make more sense if it said: CORONA VIRUS: PEOPLE START SMOKING IN HIGHEST NUMBERS IN A DECADE. That would make more sense. But people are sheep, idiotic sheep. Maybe these people deserve to die of sheer stupidity?
If you don’t want to give up smoking, fine, that is your prerogative. Just don’t give me ridiculous and asinine excuses and reasons as to why you wont give up. To me, I see that as masking your denial of addiction to smoking, be it for a fix or just to relieve the boredom....
Uh no, the French study in favor of nicotine was science. Your irrational hatred of smoking when studies show it might kill the corona virus is religious extremism.
