An exceptionally well made, yet disturbing and tough film to sit through. I have seen it twice and I have on dvd, but haven't watched it again yet. I don't think I really want too. The film makes me very angry too. He committed a heinous crime, yet pushed so far that it almost seems acceptable. Yes, it's an excellent film, but it's also very disturbing and I can really see no reason to watch it again. I was thinking a few minutes ago about another way to describe how I feel about the movie. I think Jimmie was a really good guy who did an awful thing whereas his victims were not good people at all and had something terrible happen to them. The young indigenous actor that played Jimmy was very appealing. The subject matter and the era depicted is a downer though.
