The point isn't to "over use" the hand sanitizer, but it's to rely on it when soap & water is simply impractical and impossible. Of course we're going to wash our hands in hot water and soap, and lather up good. I personally also have nail brushes at every sink and shower in the house to make sure. But when we're out and about, let's be real. We need to have an alternative. Let's be wise about this. Let's be safe. I don't carry a hand sanitizer with me when I go out. When using handwash, they say you have to do it for 20 seconds. I keep that in mind. Every place I visit there is a sanitizer waiting for me at the entrance. I use it, but I have to also remind myself not to touch my face and keep social distance while I'm there.
