I was going to say, why the hell would you sit one of the team's best bats. Hell, just DH him if you want to give him a day off, but I looked and he's 2 for his last 17 after tearing the cover off the ball before that. Maybe a day off isn't the worst idea, although 17 ABs is hardly a "slump" worth getting nervous over.

Yeah, day game after night game kind of thing, plus he hasn't had a day off yet this season. Though he did have a double in his last at bat last night.

Kapler is trying to figure out different lineups with this team. The Giants are in a weird place, a team with young talent but still with veterans from the championship days who may have or haven't overstayed their welcome.
