Jackie Cooper (1922-2011) began his acting career in Hal Roach’s Rascals at age 7. He is one of those who continued to work busily until about age 70 and retirement. He starred in two TV sit-coms, “The People’s Choice” (1955-1958) and “Hennessey” (1959-1962) which was created by Cooper’s own production company. He was the Special Guest Murderer in a “Columbo” episode.
Unfortunately, he is probably most well known for some of the last work he did as Perry White in the 1980s “Superman” movies.
