Unfortunately, while Geoffrey Rush was a reasonable stand-in for the remake, I think Famke Janssen was not the right type for the Ohmart role.
Need an Annette Benning or Laura Linney to be a closer match.
Never heard of either of them.
Now in the featurette 'Tale of Two Houses', they pointed out the perception of the wife changed with the times, Carol Ohmart was a beauty pageant winner and her character was a trophy wife...well Janssen seems to also be a trophy wife type, why else did this guy marry her? Somehow I doubt it was for her charming personality.
