Well, I can see that you're a huge Deadpool fan. I never liked the character that much, honestly, but the movies were wonderful. Not a huge Deadpool fan really. Just nice to see a Fox CBM that doesn't shy away from the source material, feel the need to be overly grounded As you already know, the X-Men original trilogy was conceived and produced in a transitional era. They launched the idea of "vaguely grounded" superhero movies, which in turn inspired Nolan and his Batman. The MCU did the opposite. Nothing wrong with either the ways, since they both were extremely successful. The MCU debuted 10 years later, when public perception was finally ready for a more faithful adaptation. Talking about progression. The X-Men Beginnings Trilogy and DP are much more "comic book-ish".
