Mary Martin's appearances in the fifties and sixties are legendary, but the definitive Peter Pan may be Cathy Rigby who's astonishing acrobatics can leave you breathless. Acrobatics, however, are just theatrics if the actor is unable to completely inhabit the character and deliver a believable interpretation of what a 12-year old boy sounds like and how he moves. Rigby does that and more. Her live performance has been captured on the A&E DVD. I can only imagine what it must have been like watching it from a theatre seat.
