I don't know what argument you're making. I didn't say the debates shouldn't happen. I even used the word 'personally' in my post, no further clarification should be necessary. I have no idea what Biden is going to say or how it might help or hurt him with the general public. I personally would vote for Biden's corpse over Trump, so I personally have no need to watch the debates.
Hardcore party members from both sides will say their guy 'leveled' the other guy no matter what happens in the debates. I've criticized Biden and Trump on this board, I don't know how much more of an 'independent thinker' I need to be to suit your idea of an independent voter.
And whatever you think about the debates doesn't really have anything to do with what I'm saying about how Trump will destroy Biden in a debate. Just because you choose not to watch or care doesn't mean that lessens the importance of what will happen on the debate stage.
All I'm saying is that these debates will be hugely important and Biden's performance against a guy like Trump will go a long way towards how many currently undecided voters will go. And that's the truth, regardless of how you personally feel about it.

I said I wasn't going to watch the debates and you acted as if I questioned their importance. You misunderstood my commentary, and now that I pointed out your mistake, you're shifting your argument to, "Well your opinion doesn't matter in this discussion. This is about everyone else!" Should I try to speak for others next time, or just continue to express my personal opinion?
