But I gotta tell you!
I taught school for the Dept of defense in Germany. The Germans didn't care for us.
BUT if we went to Holland the people were so nice to us. The Dutch didn't hate us! It was so fun visiting Holland.
Do the Dutch make sweet anise into a soup? I think it is particular to the Azores Island my grands were from ; the Flores.
Our 2 ancestral lands had a good run from 1400's to 1600's. Lol
We sure love our licorice, but I've never heard of soup made of sweet anise. I wouldn't mind trying it, though. We do drink warm milk with anise.
Ah yeah, the good old days!😉
