THE BIG HEAT -- wife of 'Dave Bannon' (Glenn Ford) killed in car bombing meant for him 04. Bluebeard (1944) - Gaston Morrell (John Carradine) is a serial wife killer. 05. Conflict (1945) -- unhappy hubby Bogie kills shrewish wife Rose Hobart so he can marry nicer sister Alexis Smith. 06.
