I repeat... A) Quitting smoking is ALWAYS a good idea. ALWAYS! Pandemic or not. B) Those studies only state percentages. They make no conclusions about health. You're drawing your own conclusions. My being an automaton, or not, doesn't change that.
Sure, two studies are not conclusive. However, it would be great irony if the sheep in the OP quit smoking to avoid COVID and then got COVID because they stopped smoking.
I know Toasted Cheese is too self-righteous to get it. But the irony would be hilarious.
It’s not about quitting smoking to “not” catch it, but more about coping with the symptoms if one does does get it. Did that smaller percentage of smokers in France who tested positive have a harder time shaking it off? What were the symptoms? Were some extreme, were some mild, were some asymptomatic, were there other underlying health issues? Now grow up Gamey and accept that you are fighting a losing battle with your own arrogance. It’s bordering on cretinous and the irony is that those that smoke and have bad chests DO need to be extra cautious.
