I like his books. In "Carrie" and "Delores Claiborne" the female characters are presented with a special kind of sympathy that is central to the female's plight. e.g., menstruation, sexual abuse, imbalance of power ("if I'd been a man " speech at the bank), etc.
I am in no way a feminist, but I do like how King sees things. He's really not being unreasonable with his point of view. Carrie White and Dolores Claiborne are extremely likable people.
