The Gold Diggers of 1933 is my favorite of these musical jewels, but this would be my second favorite. Great music, choreography, and direction. I love that these Warner Brother productions addressed the Depression more directly than the other studios (as most of their films of that era did). I think that adds something very meaningful to them.
(Also love that decades later 42nd Street became a hugely successful Broadway production -- 3,486 performances! The music for that, sung by the likes of Jerry Orbach and Tammy Grimes, is wonderful.)
