Red River....Very good. I thoroughly enjoyed about 95 percent of this movie. My only grief comes with the love interest added in the second half. Not exactly that there was a love interest, but rather her attitude and demeanor took me right out of the movie. Her acting all sassy and flirty while getting attacked by indians and plunked with an arrow in the shoulder...it just made me roll my eyes. I loved everything else about it though. The relationship between Dunson and Matt was very interesting to watch deteriorate for most of the film, and be patched up in the end. I didn't expect to root against John Wayne in this one but sure as sh-t that's what happened. He's a bigger jerk here than in the Searchers. Really good movie.
