So far there have been just two mentions of Sands of Iwo Jima (no definite article) from 1949, Lebowskidoo 🎄😷🎄 and Marv. "Sands" was Duke's only Oscar nomination until True Grit (1969) for which he won Best Actor. Everyone should see, at the very least, his two Oscar recognized performances. It’s on Prime for sure...and I feel like I saw it was on Netflix also. Just for reference. |
