SILENT RUNNING is a must use. Clearly the most classic of his films, and a great lead performance as a credible anti hero.
HANG EM HIGH, the only other classic film on the list, and we all have to admit it's Eastwood's best film. His performance was of a one dimensional punk, but a realistic one. Some punks are one dimensional.
THE SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY MASSACRE sees him in a different sort of role than usual, just as Silent Running does.
THE WAR WAGON is just too much fun, although his role was small in that one. And he is kind of lost in the crowd, but he is part of a great dark comedy scene.
My fifth choice would be the outlandish dark comedy WORLD GONE WILD, a definitive "so bad it's good" movie.
