That's normal though these days, with CBM's the IP sells the movie not the directors, and inexperienced talent comes in cheap, also it's the playbook every company is copying since it worked with Wonder Woman, look at every female led CBM announced after WW's success they have all been atleast partially female director led who has limited success, and mostly critical not financial success at that. To be fair, Patty Jenkins had a bit more experience under her belt than Olivia Wilde when she was tapped for WW. I mean, I'm not saying Olivia won't do well... just hope we don't end up with a Charlie's Angels instead of a Wonder Woman. But not much, she did one movie, 3 TV pilots and 3 normal TV episodes, hardly an extensive filmography,. and it wasn't to say anything about Jenkins, but how the studios have all copied that formula for their female led cbm's since, thinking that it was the key to success and not Jenkins herself just being perfect for the project.
