The Alamo...Very good. Slightly bloated, especially on the front end...but there's some good action sequences and the character interaction between the big three of Travis, Crockett and Bowie was very entertaining. Ill probably never wind up watching this in its entirety again because the runtime was daunting...but ill definitely rewatch bits and pieces, particularly the last half hour.
I recently read a book on the rise and fall of the Comanche and it deals with a lot of Texas history around this time period, but obviously the parts dealing with Comanche. But it's interesting to see people like Sam Houston show up here, having just read about a bunch of his interactions with the Comanche. Now i kinda want to read a proper history on the Alamo story.
