They were a coupla gals who went out to the proverbial woodshed, in this case a basement in Boston, and did nothing but play The Blues for a year and a half before venturing out to give the clubs a try.

They were heavily influenced by them blues, in fact, it's where their name comes from. Mr. Airplane Man was a song done by Howlin' Wolf.
