Hello all, so I just got back to my place after being displaced for about 11 days because of the wildfire here in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Our place is safe and intact, and we feel totally lucky and blessed. Not everyone was so lucky, over 800 family homes were destroyed by the fire, mainly in the communities of Bonny Doon and Boulder Creek. It still definitely smells smoky up here, but the sky is clear and beautiful.
Just a shout out to firefighters, all around not just California but everywhere as well. These guys and gals are maybe the biggest heroes in our world. As bad as this situation was, it could have been sooooooo much worse if it wasn't for the diligent and incredibly hard work that they do. Always give a thumbs up to a firefighter when you see one, I know I will from now on.
And once again, I want to thank you all for the kind words in my other thread when things were hairy and scary. Your support really meant a lot to me, and I just want to let you nutjobs know that I appreciate it a whole lot.
🤟👍🤙♥️
