He's been fantastic so far, it's great to see. Verdugo has been doing great as well. Hitting is not the problem with the Red Sox...... The other two prospect in the Betts trade should play. Jeter Downs will probably solve the black hole at Second since Pedroia fell apart. Connor Wong can catch or play infield. But none can pitch.
The Sox have to rebuild the farm system. From the 1990's to a few years ago, they churned out talent like Carter churned out pills. Not just the good players in Fenway but the ones they threw away. It would be sweet to have Anthony Rizzo at first, wouldn't it. Too many duds recently. Trey Ball, Anthony Ranaudo, Henry Owens, Kolbrin Vitek. I hope the rebuild right and don't throw money at crap FA's. No more Carl Crawford and Pablo Sandoval bull. Patience.
Everything always starts with pitching, and in that department, recent Sox drafts have done zippo. Who's the last guy they drafted that actually made an impact in the majors? Clay Bucholtz, and that's a decade ago. Gone are the days when they were drafting guys like Clemens, Hurst, Boyd, Ojeda, Tudor etc..... Btw, it was hard enough learning how to root for a Sox player named Mookie, now I may have to root for one named Jeter?!? You got to be kidding me.....
