As a left leaning person, I am uncomfortable with the reoccurring pattern to defend this movie by acting like right wingers are the only ones who don't like 11 year old crotch closeups. There problem is when people frame the film as "pro-pedophilia". If one wants to debate certain shots in the film and whether or not they were necessary, that's one thing. But to accuse the film of being child pornography that's being supported by the liberal elite press because the liberal elite press supports child pornography, then a serious line is being crossed. And, assuming you are really a left-leaning person, I wonder how you will feel the day you wake up and realized you were played like a fiddle by the likes of Ted Cruz and his ilk. |
