Bertrand swung in his free-kick which Adams latched onto to at point-blank range to goal. He hammered one towards the upper reaches of the goal and it needed Lloris' reflexes to parry it away. But that was a sign of Southampton's danger as they pierced the Spurs rear guard but not quite to the point of full penetration.
