It’s being reported that futurist Jacque Fresco has passed away at the grand old age of 101. Fresco made important contributions to visual arts projects throughout his career and inspired a wide variety of filmmakers through his work.
Pierino Munari has died at the age of 89. Munari was one of Italy’s premier jazz drummers – you can hear him playing on countless music scores for the Italian film industry’s greatest composers.
Producer Douglas Netter has died aged 95. Netter produced the crime picture ‘Mr. Ricco’ (1975) but is best known for his years working in television.
American character actor Al Nalbandian has died aged 95. Nalbandian was a popular figure in San Francisco, California. He appeared in several films directed by Francis Coppola.
Action performer Yu So Chow has died at the age of 86 (or 89 according to some reports). Chow was a versatile actress noted for her physical prowess; she played dancers, male parts and martial arts roles.
German cinematographer Roland Graf has died at the age of 82. Graf became a respected film director, scoring an international hit with ‘The Flight’ (1977) starring Armin-Mueller Stahl.
Russian star Oleg Vidov has died aged 73. Leading man Vidov was a major box-office draw in Soviet cinema of the 1960s and 1970s.
Producer Brad Grey has died aged 59. Grey backed projects featuring some of America’s finest comedians during the 1980s and 1990s.
Novelist Emmanuele Bernheim has passed away at the age of 61. Bernheim also worked as a screenwriter, collaborating on several films with director Francois Ozon.
