WHOOOOOOO CARES??? Coming from a long time fan of this show, IT NEEDS TO DIE!!! When it came back with Eccleston as the Doctor I was stoked and his performance and his episodes was the reason I loved the rebooted (continuation) of the show. Tennant was fine, but I don’t think he had the edge that Eccleston had. He was turning it more and more into a kids show each episode I thought and I know that’s what Doctor Who originally was, but not to the level Tennant was bringing it to.
Doctor Who should have stopped after Tennant left. Smith was ok to watch for his first season and then after I found him annoying and just not fun to watch anymore. Capaldi could not be more excited for when he was announced as the Doctor. Unfortunately despite how great his performance was as the Doctor it couldn’t stop me from thinking they were just Smith episodes with an older Doctor.
Then Jodie was announced. I was initially disappointed because I was really led to believe it was gonna be Kris Marshall and everything was pointing to him being the next Doctor. I still can’t figure it out with Jodie. I don’t know if she’s just given bad direction or the scripts are bad or she just doesn’t understand The Doctor, but I watched her first season and it did not feel like Doctor Who. It felt like a Sci Fi show with Doctor Who slapped on it.
I really hate saying that I want my favorite show to die after it had regenerated after the Paul Mcgann movie * ha ha*, but I think Doctor Who has had a good run.
