and no power if you have electric cars And CA just passed a law to quit selling gasoline powered cars?... in what (2045?) And as a side, note... It's going to take weeks to rebuild Louisiana's power grid due to the destruction caused by Hurricane Laura I too may not know much about electric cars, but I think all this raises a major dilemma... How you charge your electric cars if the power grid is not working for weeks or even longer? Is getting rid of gasoline powered cars such a good idea, if you won't be able to use electric cars to evacuate a major disaster area that involves 100s of square miles? If we want to go gas-less, I think we better start investing in solar powered recharging stations...
