I can't think anything as big profile come close to the miracle on ice Lake Placid 1980.
Others: Of course, the 18-1, Superbowl 42 1990 World Series sweep of mighty A's by the Reds. 1995 Stanley Cup final when the New Jersey Devils won its first Stanley Cup by sweeping the highly favorite Red Wings. Not high profile, but the Japanese women beating the US women in the Olympic softball final by 1 run was quite shocking. That was the last Olympic softball game and the only loss ever by the US team
