It was a question, not a pronouncement, and a wonderful topic for discussion. Myself, I don't believe they will supplant the US as the next global superpower.
They will not supplant the U.S. The Chinese build cheap electronics. But they don't have the ingenuity to write great software. It's still a rice paddy society.

Agreed about China doing it on the cheap. My daughter did her international business thesis on China's economy. So much wrong with it!!
