Saw it years ago on TCM(?). It’s fucking garbage. It’s one thing to play copy something popular, but they’re such hacks about it.
Take how the hot girl gets killed in each movie. Yeah in Jaws, maybe skinny dipping at night isn’t smart. But they set up she’s probably drunk. Meanwhile in Grizzly, the sexy ranger suddenly abandons all her responsibility for a nude bathing behind a waterfall. Only because the plot demands her to be killed.
Or the pilot telling the story about the maneating bears. It adds nothing because no one was personally affected by it. But in Jaws, it explains Quint’s mindset and adds something extra to the atmosphere.
