That CP guy seems like a complete twat. He may be surprised to know that a decent percentage of my Collingwood Football Club membership fees go to subsidising struggling clubs because having awful teams drags down the quality of the overall product and hurts the competition they both play in. In the EFL's case it's basically investing in grass roots as none of these teams are in the top flight.
