The one thing that bothers me the most is that a lot of the original cast did not return. Kyle MacLachlan (Agent Cooper) had, what, maybe a slight cameo appearance?
I don't remember much of the film because I haven't seen it in two years, but was disappointed having a marathon of the show in 2015 and watching the movie directly after the second season.
Well, now that the third season is going to premier tonight, I'll give the movie a pass. We're finally going to see the events that occurred 25 years later. Should be very interesting.
I do want to add: It's a shame that Michael Ontkean isn't returning as Sheriff Harry S. Truman. I just now found out about it.
I have no idea what to expect of the new season. Very little has leaked, and there was no real trailer. It's a huge cast, with most (living) actors returning. It's also supposed to take place in multiple locations, not just Twin Peaks.
I believe Sheriff Truman has been recast, that is indeed quite a shame. Ontkean was great.
No Eric daRe either, another shame.
