Crazy to think they would follow the classic comics version. It is anti-woke now. Same with James Bond, Tarzan, Conan... He has to get wimpier, they cannot go in the other direction. More troubled, more beta, more dependent. You can set a clock to the wokeness. "Oh here comes the parental atonement theme...it's 4: 30.." Is emotional depth weak in your opinion? People like you seem to live in a fantasy world where men have no weakness or fragility. I am a man and I suffer emotionally all the time, so I am going to like watching characters I can relate to in that way. What you call wimpy I call realistic and interesting. Bruce Wayne has been a troubled character in every Batman movie. If your idea of realism is Tarzan, James Bond and Conan, then no wonder. Have you ever seen Greystoke? That shows a complex realistic version of Tarzan.
