I live in a fairly large apartment complex in Southern California, but I still don't know if there will be an official announcement regarding Trick-or-Treating. Last year, we stocked up on goodies, and we had one--one!--family of three knock on our door. I took most of the leftovers to my workplace. 
Like BAT, I might pick up some heavily-discounted candy corn after Oct. 31. There aren't too many kinds of candy I can safely eat, due to my dairy allergy.
