That’s the rule when there is a review after the 2 minute warning I believe. It’s because the clock would’ve been running if the play had been called correctly the first time around, so they either take 10 seconds off the clock or a TO is called. It's the referee's fault they didn't call the play right. Why are the Saints penalized? What are they supposed to do? Tell the referees, "No, it wasn't a touchdown."  I just explained it to you, the Saints weren’t penalized, it’s how the rules work, the clock would’ve been running if they called the play correctly so when they did get the call right they take off 10 seconds to make up for the time that should’ve come off the clock. Don’t like the rule, write to the league. Or file a lawsuit like you Saints fans love to do.
