Sixers hire Dave Joerger as Assistant Coach
This is a breathtaking move.
Joerger was largely responsible for turning a decrepit Kings franchise around.
They were going places. The Kings went from 27-55 to 39-43 under Joerger.
All of the sudden Luke Walton became available. The Kings axed Joerger and went with Walton (we all know how that turned out). Many fans in Sac and the NBA were scratching their heads over the move.
Joerger was actually considered a head coaching candidate - to get him as an assistant is an absolute steal.
