13 Sitcoms That Changed Sets or Main Locations:
01. THE FACTS OF LIFE - Season 1 was set at an Eastland School dormitory. Then the main set became the cafeteria of the school and the main girls lived in rooms in that building. When they graduated they went to live with Mrs. Garrett above Edna's Edibles. 02. THE GOOD GUYS (1968) - Originally set in a diner in the city. In season 2, they moved the diner to a beachfront location. The diner was the same inside, but all the exterior sets changed and they went from having a studio audience to having a laugh track. 03. It's About Time (1966-67) - Originally set in prehistorical times with astronauts McKenzie and Canfield trying to adjust to living in prehistoric times, the show was retooled to bring the astronauts back to the present along with some prehistoric friends who try to adjust to living in modern times. 04. Laverne & Shirley - Laverne & Shirley move to Burbank from Milwaukee with the rest of the gang. They get jobs in an apartment store and become aspiring actresses. 05. Perfect Strangers - Larry and Balki work together at the Ritz Discount Store in the first two seasons. By season three, they work together at the Chicago Chronicle newspaper. They also get a larger apartment around this time. By season seven they live in a house together. 06. Sabrina the Teenage Witch - Initially set in the high school and her aunts' home, in season 5, Sabrina starts college and moves into a house with other students 07. FRENCH FIELDS - a sequel/continuation of the series FRESH FIELDS in which William (Anton Rodgers) accepts a position with a French company and the series follows him and Hester (Julia McKenzie) as they move from London to Calais. 08. I Love Lucy - after 5 and a half years of living in a New York apartment, the last half of the final season saw the Ricardo and Mertzes move to a country farm type location.
