Just curious. Joey Dunlop (who I actually knew, albeit not intimately, some of his family more than he) was killed in 2000. How come the movie was released in 1997, three years before his death? The years must have been tacked on later.
Joey's strange prophetic title was the inspiration for this topic. Obviously, the years were added later without anyone reporting the original title to IMDb. The volunteer nature of IMDb has led to a lot of omissions.
You see Dunlop's name at a lot of racetracks. Was he related to those tyre people? I noticed that his Wikipedia article spells it "tire." I suppose a Yank wrote the article. Canadians use that spelling also, but follow the Brits on many other words.
