Two months later than normal and only ten fewer games? When do they expect the season to end? The ratings were shit because nobody wants to watch basketball in the middle of the summer. I like the ideas being thrown around (divisional/geographic matchups, regular season 'series') for what would be a crazy year, but that seems like an awful lot of games for a shortened season. Apparently they want it end before the Olympics and want to get back on schedule for next year.
So rumors have been swirling they can be playing some series - for example - your Celts.
They go up to Toronto to get a 3 game series in vs. the Raps - then -
They go down to New York and get a 3 game or so series vs. The Knicks in - then over to Brooklyn for a 3 game vs. The Nets - then down to Philly for a 3 game set - then return home as these teams then play at the Garden
It's an interesting concept - but teams within a weak division benefit greatly - and teams that our in our division suffer - because we're in an Elite Division and we'll be murdering each other all year.
We'll see how it goes. I just want to get everything back on track for 2021-22.
