Same thing happened last year in Game 7. Zach Greinke was having a good game, one hit, erased by a DP, through 7. He gives up a HR and AJ Hinch yanks him. And the Astros bullpen implodes. Yeah, it was in the 7th but Greinke had only thrown 80 pitches. And the Astros had a 2-1 lead. Would the Rays have lost anyway, possibly. Eventually, Snell is coming out of that game. And the Rays bullpen was fried. He leaves Snell in the game and watches Betts pop a 3 run homer and its a mirror argument "Why was Snell still pitching. he knows how bad pitchers do the third time through the lineup!" But it's beyond me why managers still do this fucked up pitching management in the postseason. Alex Cora kept going to an ineffectual Craig Kimbrel too early in 2018 (never really cost the Sox).
