I didn't know who Ariana Grande was, I must admit. I YouTube'd her and it seems she is extremely popular with the young teenagers around the world. What a shocker that her gig has been targeted in this way. Some kids attending alone, parents waiting to pick them up after the show, other kids at the gig with their parents etc. No trains, no public transport network. The area cordoned off. Some young people stranded. Waiting parents ushered away from outside the venue while their children are still somewhere inside it.
At least local taxis have offered free transport to stranded youngsters, and some hotels in the vicinity are offering refuge free of charge to those in need.
Yea, I speak the obvious, but make no mistake about it, this was a deliberate attempt at terrorizing an event largely attended by young teenagers, some of them unaccompanied by adults. Cowardly, brutal and altogether particularly despicable.
